PORTFOLIO

A beautiful double fronted Victorian house over looking the Cliff Gardens with extensive sea views, located in the Southend Conservation area.

A former children's day nursery that was lovingly restored into a free following, white walled creative agency until the owner wanted to inject some fun and turned it back into a wonderfully vibrant home. The space is now transformed into a unique, spacious home with a feast of playful colour, vibrant wallpapers, eclectic contemporary art & opulent antique furniture with rare lamps, lighting and rugs found from years of travelling and collecting.

This atmospheric house boats a combination of elegant period Victorian features with grand proportions, and modern industrial styling. 42 stained glass windows adorn the top of all the windows and bay fronted doors. At approximately 3,500 sq this seaside location house offers plenty of flexibility and space to accommodate larger productions.

Downstairs

The wide entrance hall is high with wood floor and exposed brick walls and chandelier hanging centre and stripped floors throughout. Off the hall are all of the two main reception rooms each facing South West to the front elevation, with views over the Cliff Gardens and sea. On the left is an open plan lounge area painted in dramatic F&B “Hague Blue”, with feature wooden log burner fireplace and stunning Victorian bay window with ceilings at approx 11ft high, providing fantastic natural light. To the right is a beautifully decorated sitting room which also features a large Victorian bay window.

To the side of the stairs room is the library, painted in F&B “Ultra Marine Blue”, the room has dramatic effect.

At the end of the hall is the dining area and kitchen. The rooms are linked and open directly into the kitchen. Once the original Victorian garage housing classic cars, this fantastic space has a stunning handmade industrial island unit made from stainless steel, the cabinetry is bespoke and there is a Fisher & Paykel stove. Industrial style pendant lamps are suspended at low level from the original exposed trusses ceiling. A large window opens out to the rear courtyard and garden. The dining area includes a solid walnut antique dining table that seats 8 fits comfortably.

French doors lead out to the patio area and garden. The beach is just a five minutes walk from the property. Outside there is off-street parking for three cars on the driveway and three cars on the rear courtyard behind sliding electric gates.
